Saludar, despedirse, presentar y presentarse

Objetivos

1. Saludar, despedirse, presentar a otra persona y presentarse con fórmulas breves.
2. Usar be (am, is, are) y have got en afirmativa, negativa y pregunta corta.
3. Usar los pronombres personales de sujeto y los demostrativos this, that, these, those.
4. Decir la nacionalidad y distinguirla del país y de la ciudad.

Explicación

Esta lección cubre la función saludar, despedirse, presentar y presentarse con las estructuras del punto 1 de Inglés.

Fórmulas

• *Hi. / Hello.* Hola. Sirven para llegar.
• *How are you?* ¿Qué tal? Respuesta breve: *I'm fine, thank you.*
• *Goodbye. / Bye.* Adiós.
• *See you.* Hasta luego.
• *Good morning. / Good afternoon. / Good evening.* Al llegar: buenos días, buenas tardes, buenas tardes-noche.
• *Good night.* Se usa al despedirse de noche, no al entrar en clase por la mañana.

Presentarse: *I'm Mateo.* Presentar a otra persona: *This is Nuria.*

Be

Pregunta: *Are you from Soria?* *Is she Spanish?* Respuesta corta: *Yes, I am. / No, I'm not.*

El apóstrofo de *I'm* marca letras que no se escriben (*I am*). No es un acento.

Have (got)

El decreto escribe have (got): valen las dos, y en clase usamos sobre todo *have got*.

• *I have got a brother. / I've got a brother.*
• *She has got a dog. / She's got a dog.*
• Negación: *I haven't got a sister. / She hasn't got a cat.*
• Pregunta: *Have you got a pencil?* *Has he got a brother?*

Con *he, she, it* el verbo es has, no have.

Pronombres personales (sujeto)

*I, you, he, she, it, we, they.* Son los que van con *be* y con *have got* en esta función. *I* siempre va en mayúscula.

Demostrativos

• *this* este, esta (cerca, uno)
• *that* ese, aquel (lejos, uno)
• *these* estos, estas (cerca, varios)
• *those* esos, aquellos (lejos, varios)

*This is my friend.* *Those are the windows.*

Nacionalidades

País y nacionalidad no son la misma palabra. La nacionalidad va en mayúscula.

*I'm Spanish. I'm from Spain. I'm from Soria.* Soria es la ciudad, no una nacionalidad.

Mnemónico

«I am el único con am.» You, we y they van con are. He, she e it van con is.

Glosas de esta lección

• Hi / Hello. hola, al llegar. Hello es un poco más neutro; Hi, más de recreo.
• How are you?. ¿qué tal? No pregunta la biografía: espera I'm fine, thank you.
• Good night. despedida de noche. No saluda por la mañana.

Hello. I'm Mateo. This is Nuria. She is from Soria. She is Spanish. Goodbye. Mateo se presenta (I'm), presenta a Nuria (This is) y cierra con una despedida.

Ejemplo 2 — Have got

I've got a brother. I haven't got a sister. Have you got a pencil? Yes, I have. Con she: She's got a dog. Has she got a cat? No, she hasn't.

Ejemplo 3 — This y those

This is my bag (la mochila que tengo en la mano). Those are the windows (las ventanas, al otro lado de la clase, varias).

Mini cierre

Hello / Goodbye, I'm para ti, This is para presentar. Be y have got cambian con he, she, it. La nacionalidad lleva mayúscula y no es la ciudad.
